Early Life: Yami Gautam, the talented Bollywood actress, was born on 28 November 1988 in a small district named Bilaspur which is situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh. She was then bought up in the city beautiful Chandigarh. Her father Mukesh Gautam is a Punjabi film director whereas her mother Anjali Gautam is a housewife. She entered college to pursue law honours from PU, as at that age she was aspired to join IAS but at the age of 20 Yami decided to start her career in acting and left her studies to give her full time and concentration on her acting career.
Career: Yami Gautam started her career with a small screen in various tv serials such as “Chand ke Paar Chalo” and “Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam”.After completing her tv serials, she took part in reality shows such as “ Meethi Choori No 1” and “Kitchen Champion Season 1”. Yami Gautam made her debut in Bollywood films opposite Ayushmann Khurrana ( actor and singer) with the film “ Vicky Donor”, which quite hit at the box office(2012). In 2011 Yami made her debut in Telugu movies with a movie named “Nuvvila” which was directed by Ravi Babu. Her second Bollywood film was “Total Siyappa” opposite Ali Zafar who was directed by Eeshwar Nivas in 2014. After that she did a couple of hits, “Action Jackson” opposite Ajay Devgan(2014) and “Badlapur” opposite Varun Dhawan(2015). In 2016, she did “ Sanam Re” by Divya Khosla. In 2017 she did her most commendable movie opposite Hrithik Roshan named “Kabil”.In 2018, she is completing her movie “Batti Gul Meter Chalo” starring alongside Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, which is going to be released soon.

Personal Life: Pulkit Samrat who was the co-star of Yami in Sanam Re alleged to be her boyfriend in spite of he was already married. Yami Gautam was blamed for the separation of Pulkit and his wife, Shweta. Shweta even considered Yami as a home breaker in one of her interviews. But later on, the news came up with Yami’s breakup with Pulkit.
